Before screens. Before algorithms. That’s where Dougal learned what games actually do. They pull people in, create connections, and make memories that outlast the box they came in.
That instinct became a 17-year career. He’s built a reputation for launching games that mattered. If you’ve played a game and enjoyed it, chances are Dougal had something to do with it or knows who does. Dougal has been at the center of some of the industry’s biggest moments. He’s worked with giants like Hasbro and Spin Master, but it was never just about the titles – it was always about the people behind them.
That’s where the real magic happens. We’re not just game experts — we are A creators’ champion.
We’ve seen it all (the good, the bad, and the unspeakable). And we know as much about game creation as anyone, and now we want to bring that knowledge to creators. Great ideas need room to grow, and creators deserve real autonomy, not a one-size-fits-all formula.
EightyTwo is what happens when all of that gets pointed in a new direction. At creators who have already built something real, and finally have a partner who knows exactly what to do with it. He’s here to empower them, bring their vision to life, and make sure their ideas get the platform they deserve.
DOUGAL GRIMES – FOUNDER
A product designer and certified potato inspector, Dougal has been in the toy and game industry for over 17 years. Having worked at Hasbro and Spin Master, Dougal saw an opportunity to bring his lifelong passion for games and experience in making them to new audiences. He’s proud to have defeated Post Malone at beer pong and one day wishes to be just like Disney’s Robin Hood when he dresses up as a stork to enter the archery competition.
